Andover Music Awards – Nominations & Voting Terms and Conditions

Overview

The Andover Music Awards aim to celebrate and recognise outstanding musical talent within the local community. These terms govern the nominations, judging, and winner selection process.

Eligibility

Nominees must be individuals or acts who are based in, perform regularly in, or have a strong connection to the Andover area.
All genres and levels of experience are welcome.
Self-nominations are permitted.

Nominations Process

Nominations must be submitted via the official Andover Music Awards platform within the stated nomination period.
Each nomination should include relevant supporting information (e.g. achievements, performances, recordings, or contributions to the local music scene).
Nominations will be assessed based on the quality, relevance, and detail provided in the submission.
Incomplete or low-detail nominations may not be considered.

Shortlisting (Finalists)

All valid nominations will be reviewed by a panel of judges.
Judges will assess nominees based on merit, contribution to music, and the strength of the nomination submission.
A shortlist of three (3) finalists per category will be selected.
The judges’ decision on shortlisted finalists is final.

Winner Selection

From the three finalists in each category, the judging panel will select one winner.
Winners are chosen based on overall merit, consistency, impact, and demonstrated talent.
The decision of the judges is final and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome.

Voting

There is no public vote determining the final winners.
The process is designed to ensure fairness and to prioritise quality over popularity.

Fairness and Integrity

Any attempt to manipulate the nominations process (including duplicate or fraudulent submissions) may result in disqualification.
Judges will declare any conflicts of interest and may abstain from categories where appropriate.

Use of Information

By submitting a nomination, you agree that the information provided may be used for promotional purposes relating to the Andover Music Awards.
This may include social media, website features, and event materials.

Changes to the Process

The organisers reserve the right to amend these terms or adjust the process if necessary.
